Swansea City have reportedly expressed their apprehensions over Liverpool’s overtures for their prolific midfielder Joe Allen, as they viewed it as a violation of their agreement with the Merseyside club.
The former Swans boss, Brendan Rodgers parted ways with the Welsh club to take over at Anfield earlier in June. However, as a compensatory measure, Swansea had signed an agreement with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 that barred the latter from approaching any of their players
within the next 12 months.
However, the Northern Irishman has already made his intentions of signing Joe Allen during this summer known, with some reports suggesting that the proposed move is currently in the final stages.
A spokesman for Swansea City revealed that the south http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wales-c3041 club viewed the Reds overtures for the player as a violation of their deal with them, but refused to unearth the details of the agreement.
He told the reporters in an interview, “Swansea can confirm that Liverpool have expressed an interest in Joe Allen, despite a written agreement with Liverpool not to approach any players within the 12-month period of former manager Brendan Rodgers leaving
for Anfield.”
Nevertheless, the Swans representative unravelled that apart from being on the Reds radar, the 22-year old has also drawn interest from scores of other clubs as well. However, he indicated that a final decision on the player’s future will be taken following
the completion of his international commitments in the Olympic Games.

The spokesman revealed that the club were determined to work alongside their new manager, and that all the necessary steps will be taken to facilitate his stay at the club.
He added, “[We] will continue to work in the best interests of its supporters, who are our priority, and the club to provide new manager Michael Laudrup with the best opportunity to be successful in the forthcoming Premier League campaign.”
