  1. Hope you didn't get stung. You must have been close to thier hive

  2. hi,you did the right thing by laying down, flaying arms will make the bees attact, moving into woods is also a way of protecting your self.bee keepers clip one wing to keep them close to the apiary thats what they call several hives.so it may be a wild swarm you encountered.the old queen leaves the hive as young queens emerge half the bees flow her to start a new colony, when they swarm gorge on honey so are not to aggressive but can still sting. bees are in need of our support as numbers are failing due to many many problems that need to be researched now not later, without bees the world is in great danger as they pollunate most of our food as well as flowers. popa

  3. something agitated the bees.

  4. Swarms of bees are relatively common. Swarms of bees passing through you, that's a rare phenomenon.

  5. I don't think bees can go through you.

No, bees don't usually swarm unless they're protecting their hive.

  6. Bees swarm when there is more than one queen in the hive.Good thing is they are not agressive when they swarm

unless the are killer Bees they are just always pissed.

  7. Thats unusual...and scary!

  8. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeekkkk!!!  No, it's not normal.  The QUEEN was changing her location.  If this happened in your yard, check your trees ... you may need to call a Beekeeper to move the hive.

  9. No, it's not common for swarms of bees to fly through people, unless they are very sweet.

The bees may chase after you though, if you inadvertently disturbed their hive.

  10. Bees don't actually swarm to protect their hives.

A swarm is when a whole colony moves to find a better site.

A swam has the queen at the centre and are usually not harmful as they gorge on honey before they move and this prevents them from bending in order to use their sting.

They aren't that rare although in some areas there has been a marked reduction in numbers of bees due to something called Colony Collapse Disorder which is where a whole colony dies .
