Question:

Sweating whilst running?

I'm starting to run to get into better shape and yesterday i ran 3 miles with 2 minute walking breaks every 15 minutes, but i was barely sweating, there was just a little moisture on the back of my neck, the room was air conditioned but there was no sweat and i barely excersice? Am i doing something wrong?

  1. Don't run in an air conditioned room (the best is to go outside) and drink enough water before, (during), and after.


  2. Well, it could be two things.

    1.  You were dehydrated and you didn't have enough water in your system to cool you down.  You didn't sweat or you weren't working hard enough to get into a lather.

    2.  If the room had AC, the humidity in the room may have been very low.  Any sweat you had would have evaported too quickly to accumulate.

  3. Drink water, run outside, and don't take breaks.

  4. Lack of water... you gotta drink more!  I have the same problem.. and I THOUGHT I drank alot!
