Sweaty Bum - Please help me!?

Whenever I sit down my bum gets REALLY sweaty. I don't sweat much anywhere else, it's just on my bum and inner thighs. It really smells too, and it's noticable.

I've lost loads of friends because of this, nonbody can put up with the smell.

I went to the doc but she said she couldnt find anything wrong with me, but I told her it only happens when I sit down, but she ignored me. silly *****!

Please help! I get really hot and moist when I sit down, and so when I get up off the chair all the smell seeps out.

Please help. :( I want to die. *cry*

  1. dude, I went through the exact same thing when I was in puberty.  Trust me when I say it will get better as you get older.  My worst time was when I was was 14 and 15 years old.  Try some talcum powder or baby powder on your butt after you shower and dry off well.  Wear loose underwear.

I used to sweat so bad that I would leave 'rings' where I sat.  It's pretty embarassing.

  2. I suggest trying a more powerful anti-perspirant such as Driclor, which you can get prescribed or you can even find it on the shelf in Boots.

It's rich in aluminium chloride which forms a gel in the sweat glands and reduces the amount you sweat. The sweat gets absorbed back into your body and I think then you just p**s it out.

The embarrassment of it can also make the sweating worse so if and when you start using it, try to relax and know that things are going to get better. It can take about a week for the stuff to kick in.

Excessive sweating is not that rare and is called hyperhidrosis.

  3. Get some cornstarch and put it in a covered bowl in your bathroom.  After you take a bath or shower (and remember to wash the cleft of your butt), dry yourself thoroughly with the towel and then take a pinch of the cornstarch and rub it all around between your butt cheeks.  Also spread some on your thighs, and you can even put some on your s*****m if you like the feeling.  Cornstarch absorbs wetness really well, and should keep the area too dry to develop a smell.  You can put on some more at other times of the day when you feel moist.  You can carry some cornstarch with you in a zip-lock baggy if you think you'll need to use it away from home.

Because you sweat more than normal in this area, you'll have to wash more often too, perhaps twice a day.  You can try using a hypoallergenic or gentle soap (such as a glycerin soap) to avoid irritating the delicate skin in this area.  Deodorant soaps are not going to be much help, you'll just be paying for deodorant that goes down the drain.

  4. eww nasty.

    put deodorant on your ***.

i like the smell of old spice.

    try that.

  5. use anti persperant or look up sum medicine on google 4 that! i got tha same problem but not as bad as that

  6. This happens to me alot, i'm 16, and do wash ALOT! but still happens, it mainly happens just after i been playing footy and stuff because i'm sweating, but sometimes just happens on warm days, just try to let that area breathe a little more, like on red hot sunny days wear shorts instead of jeans, but at like school there's nothing you can really do, but try to get rid of the sweat on the chair before you stand up!

  7. bro..Just get some shower or baby powder and let it do it's stuff.  Also,

if you aren't wearing boxers, do!  They are a lot more comfortable and less restricting for..well..everything.

  8. i no some one this has happened to they went docs and they could not help but they tried talcum powder and everything was ok after a week so please try it
