Second day of the 2012 52 Super Series produced some outstanding sailing competitions on the Barcelona waters. The first day of the regatta featured Italian team of Audi Azzurra Sailing Team on the leading podium with the help of two bullets and a second
place in the three scheduled races of the day.
The second day of the regatta began with a tremendous victory of the American TP52 boat, Quantum Racing skippered by Ed Baird, in the first race of the day. Second place was occupied by the first day leaders, Audi Azzurra Sailing Team.

third podium to formulate the latest results.
With the help of the bullet in the third and fifth race, Niklas Zennström’s Rán was able to snatch the top podium position from the Italian sailing team. The third day is going to be comparatively more interesting day for the fleet as the top three teams
have minor difference among each other.
Speaking to the local media, Quantum Racing’s Ed Reynolds said that they are still leaving a lot of boat lengths on the race course but they are getting better but integrating is not easy. One of the things perhaps the sport does not get the credit is deserves
is the team sport it is.
He added that there are challenges with the new crew. They are all incredibly talented, but integrating to the level where they can click off. He believes that he has never been a level of sailing like this where one pays so dearly for every metre they lose
on the race course.
