Sweden’s Sjoholm in the lead at the BMW International Open, the world number 306 wishes to change his rank for now!
Joel Sjoholm is the man on top of the leader board at the BMW International Open.
The Swedish prodigy has been calm and patient with his days but now is the time to shine for the golfer.
The BMW International Open saw a different side to the golfer. His charisma was out of this world and his accuracy was worth a standing ovation. The crowd was delighted to witness the Swedish to get the best out of him as a golfer.
“Now I saw that I'm up there, and of course it's going to be a new situation for me,” said Sjoholm.
The best aspect about Sjoholm is his approach towards reality. He keeps things real when it comes down to his career and he knows that his rank as the 306 golfer in the world ranking is something he should worry about.
He is eyeing the BMW International Open as a tournament that will change all of that. His rank, his life and his love for golf, everything will take a flip.
He seemed ecstatic and thrilled to have taken an early lead in the tournament and focuses on staying at the top for now.
“I'm just enjoying this so much, I don't really think too much about it. It's just a great feeling and a fantastic tournament. I've always played here in Germany, and it was good to play well at the new venue,” said the Swedish.
On the other hand, Sergio Garcia is down the line at the score board and is expected to miss the cut in the next round. He has been in controversial headlines regarding his comments about major championship events and their worth.
“If I don't have a major, what can I do, I'm not going to take my life because I don't win a major. Fortunately I have a lot of other things that maybe some of those guys who have won majors don't have,” said the Spanish golfer.
Garcia has put himself in misery after his comments and is facing criticism from all corners.
Things have worked out for Sjoholm and it is thought that the Swedish will land in Sweden’s best golfers’ list in no time if he wins the BMW International Open.
