Swedish Boarding School!?

Question

My dad is determined that I have to go to a boarding school in sweden for high school. My mom doesn't like the idea, and I don't either. I would get so homesick and it would be weird going to school away from home. How should I break it to my dad that his dream is my nightmare?

You can let your Dad know as a matter of factly that Sweden has the highest rate of suicide. Then you can "act" as if you tend to get very depressed living in a place miles away from home. I don't think your Dad fancies the idea of having you heard from a news that you committed suicide.

But hey, I'd love to study in Sweden. It has the lowest rate of crime and standard of living is exemplary.

sorry to say, that boarding school is so much fun and is a privilege. u should go. i am trying to get into a boarding school and would be devastated if my dad wouldnt let me go. its the best time of ur life. u should go. ull have new friends, be independent, theres parties and well its so much fun. i would die to be u right now. i would definitely say yes. dont worry, ull be having so much fun that u never want to leave. itll be the best time of ur life. ask people that go to boarding schools. theyll have a good future and so will u if u go. just go. ur a girl so u should like the glamorous life
