The President of Swedish Football Federation Karl-Erik Nilsson promised the fans that the Blue-Yellow will give it their all against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 in order to conclude their Euro 2012 campaign on a high, after crashing out of the tournament as result of
back to back defeats against Ukraine and England.
The Swedish fans poured in numbers in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 in their opener and
also emerged second best to England in the next game to experience an early exit.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 will go head to head against Ukraine in the other Group D match on the same day.
Even though a win will only serve as a consolation for an already out of the equation Scandinavian nation, Nilsson wants the team to go all guns blazing against the Les Bleus, in order to give thousands of travelling fans something to cheer about.
He told the reporters in an interview, “I can assure you that the Swedish team want to beat France, or at least have a very good match. We will leave this championship in Kiev in very good spirit.”
Even though the retired football referee could not conceal his dismay over the Blue-Yellow’s failure to make it into the knock-out stage, he nevertheless praised them for putting up a valiant fight against the Three Lions and felt that the situation might
have been a lot different if they had luck on their side.
He added, “I’m not disappointed about the matches. Maybe the first half against Ukraine, but the game against England was great, and perhaps with a bit more luck we could have been more successful.”
He went on to express his commendation for the country’s fans for their passionate and vehement support throughout the course of the tournament, and believes that the European Championships are a useful tool of bringing nations closer to each other.
