England’s Andrew Smith has registered his supremacy over Sweden’s Jesper Wigardt in Men’s Singles qualifying round of the Swedish International Stockholm 2012, on Thursday, January 19, in Sweden.
Smith showed urgency in his opening encounter against Wigardt and ended the match in straight games by taking just 21 minutes in the court.
The English shuttler sent local opponent packing in the opening match and penetrated into next stage of qualifying round.
Smith delivered stunning performance in his first match in Swedish International as he did not show any mercy to his rival and clinched the opening set with a superb score.
In the following set, Wigardt played much better game and progressed closely until the ending points when his English rival controlled the pace and won the set with a decent difference.

This 21-minute straight-set contest ended with the victory of Smith with a margin of 21-11 and 21-18.
