Sweeping Floor After Sunset?

What happens if a person sweeps the floor after sunset ? Does it mean bad luck for the inhabitants ?

According to Hindu mythology  , the answer to your question is yes. According to it .. before the sunsets you have to clean your self and the home and do a pooja(Worshipping of God) .

This custom they introduced bcos  in olden days we were not having any source of light . So it is better to clean the home before you lose the sun light ..

and throw away the dust outside

it is considered as  a sign of bad luck

doing it will sweep away godess laxmi i.e. dhan or money from the house

No, not in todays day and age. However as it is dark it is harder to see so there may be dirt that is not detected, leading to illness!!!.
