im supper sorry i keep asking but i realllly need help.

is a month before too late start planning??

Its gonna be semi-formal.

with a little more than 30 people, at

hall, or country club.

with dinner included.

i was thinking it would be a little

too late because invitations would be handed out

to people a week or two before the actual party, and it

might be a disaster cause no one would show up.

i also need help with a theme, im pretty much into

fashion, and completely obsessed with NYC lol.

how can my theme corporate with those??

and where do i get invitations for people?

  1. It is now quite acceptable (according to miss manners) to call on the phone or send email invitations.   You have enough to do with planning the party don't waist time on the invitations get the RSVP back asap so you will know who is attending.

  2. YES!!!!!!!

  3. > Invitations: Local wal-mart or other drug store.

It's never to late to plan a birthday party. Just don't be disappointed if everyone can't come.

Throw an NYC party! Make a mock empire-state-building pinata, serve a fancy dinner, and curl up for a movie!

  4. i don't think its to late...

i would do a Paris theme... since Paris is very fashionable...

but idk how that could go with NYC...

um i think they advertised cute invitations in the latest US magazine near the back

    best of luck :]

  5. Just go with the flow....lol I donno what to tell you eccept to go with the flow...sorry

  6. your probably too late because your first problem is going to be securing a location with only a month in advance.  i have worked in the restaurant business and my husband in the GM at a country club.  people book these things about a year in advance.

you also should have had your RSVP's from your invitations about a month before the function so you could give the final numbers to the location you are having it.  no place (or caterer) is going to allow you to say, "there's going to be about 30 people". they want an exact number to be able to bill you for.  if you say 30 people, that's how many people your parents will have to pay for whether or not they all show.

you are really pushing it trying to come up with a theme this late in the game also.  you are now putting all of your guests in a bind trying to find clothes or gifts or something that goes along with your theme.  and that also brings us back to the location.  not only are you trying to book a late party, they now have to come up with something very creative for you in such a short period of time.

i think your best bet would be to have some type of bar-b-q at your own home and decorate with some type of theme.  hire someone to come and do a pig roast.  or go with the semi formal idea and see if you can find a caterer on such short notice and rent one of those large tents with the sides on that give the feel of being indoors (but they are very expensive and i don't know what kind of room you have at your house)

sorry, hope you find a place and get this pulled together.  you've had 16 years to know this day was coming.  why did you wait so long.
