Sweet 16 planning. maybe a hollywood theme. ideas?

i have 2 ideas for a sweet 16 ones a hollywood theme. ideas? suggestions for games/decorations.??

I love the idea of the red carpet for your friends to enter on.

You can also paint a sign that it's your sweet 16, and edge that sign in lights, you know, string lights, like clear Christmas lights, paint the sign, make it a square sign, paint it, then paint it with your name and sweet 16 and then attatch the lights around the sign.

Then have a "cocktail party" go to the dollar store and get silver trays and offer up your guests franks and blankets, pizza bagel bites, etc.  Of course, drinks too, whatever you and your friends like to drink sodas, iced tea, lemonade, etc.

Then you can have the meal, being it's a hollywood theme, do sit down dinner, make it white cloth tablecloths, and round tables set around the room and have black and red and silver as your accent colors.  You're going for Hollywood glamour!  I'm not sure what type of food you want, that depends on you and what your favorite meal is.  

You can have a walk of fame and go to the party store and buy some big gold and silver stars, you know like the carboard ones and put your's and your friends' names on them and make a walk of fame.  You can buy some statues and hand out awards for best dressed,  funniest, etc.

You can buy some of the feather boas at a craft store and you and girl friends wear them, get dressed up for the night, also get some cheap matini glasses, the plastic ones at the dollar store and serve your drinks in them.  

You can also decorate with those same stars as the walk of fame, use big and small stars and hang them from the ceiling.  Make tickets as your invites, whoever is coming must bring their ticket to get into this exclusive event.

You can also get some solar lights leading up to the entry on the red carpet.  Have the red carpet lit with either more Christmas lights on each side or with solar lights on each side so they're coming up a lit up red carpet.  You can even have the red carpet continue into the inside entrance where the party is.

At the seating area, have a centerpiece of flowers, red carnations or roses, or something that you consider glamour.  Have disposable cameras at the tables for everyone to have fun and take pictures of each other, have a sign in board to "autograph" their wishes to use and decorate that board so it's not just a piece of paper.  Get a piece of foam board and make it bling!

I'm also having a Hollywood theme 4 my 18th birthday..{cant wait}lolz.. have an awards nite also.. u should have trophies 4 the best dancer or w/e u want. u could have the walk of fame stars. with other ppls names or celebrities.. Have ppl dress in gold or sliver.. go 2 websites 2 see

Hollywood.  We are doing this theme.  We are renting a small hall and having a dance.

Red Carpet Event.  

On invite guests wear black/white semi formal and you steal the show in red and wear white long gloves  of course.

Colors black, gold, siliver.  

Buy black plastic tablecloths but gold organza overlay (efavormart).  Buy hollywood centerpiece http://www.partycheap.com/Silver_Star_Gl...  Attach 4 balloons to this centerpiece, gold, black, silver on matching ribbons but the fourth balloon is a 19 inch star balloon that says hollywood on  it.  http://www.bulkballoons.com/store/p/6147... and it is floating higher than the rest.

Buy mardi gras beads black ones and gold to give your guests as they walk in.  These can be bought so cheap.

We bought a big movie camera pinata for a game.  I bought some cheap organza favor bags http://www.efavormart.com/index.asp?Page... (same place I got the gold overlays for the tablecloths) and I put gold  and silver hersheys kisses inside.  I bought for 1 buck a pack of sheets of nickel size stickers and for 1 buck I bought a N for my daughters initial and for 1 buck at the dollar store I got red ink pad and I stamped a letter N on the circle sticker and put in on the bottom of the kiss.  

I bought a printer program called  print perfect  by cosmi for 10 bucks.  I bought cardstock (thicker paper used to print cards)  I bought white  (2.50 for 50 sheets-way more than I needed) and on this program I made small favor tags and I made camera tent cards like  this   Here is an example you have to look down on the page to see it:  http://www.handykaneweddings.com/index.c...

We bought a roll of the red carpet on the party sites.  http://www.partycheap.com/Red_Carpet_Run...  and we are having this entrance http://www.shindigz.com/catalog.cfm?pgp=... and we bought 2 cardboard celebrity cut outs of marilyn Monroe and Humphrey Bogart (45 for both new on Ebay) to put along the carpet.  So guests can take pictures in the entrance and with the fake celebrities.   And we bought hollywood decorations like cut outs for the walls of movie camera and film and hollywood signs and VIP entrance signs, etc.  You can find these at Shindigz, partycheap hollywood megastore etc.  Also look up scene setters.  These are huge plastic murals that are backgrounds that you can add things onto.  These take up whole walls and are so cheap.  I  bought a sucker mold for 2 bucks that is a 16 and I am going to melt a block of chocolate and make a bunch of these and they sell cheap sucker bags that come with white ribbon and I am using one of the favor tags I made.   The Hollywood plates are nice but if you are having 100 ppl like us it gets expensive to buy plates for snacks and for the cake so we bought black and golds plates and napkins and forks from the dollar store.  Buy a 3 part display board to use as a sign in board for your friends.  Decorate it hollywood style.  on the two outer folds fill it with pictures of you and your friends and buy some scrapbooking little items like this that you can get at dollar stores and craft stores http://cgi.ebay.com/Jolees-Boutique-scra... that  fit you like a beach, girlie and things you like. These can be spead out where you want them.    Leave the center open for your friends to sign.  You could put a big 16 at the top in the center and Hollywood along the bottom but leave the center for guesets to sign.    Get a DJ or have karoke.
