Sweet 16 theme party?

I'm having a costume party. My name is Amy, so the theme is going to be Amy....means you have to dress up as something that starts with the letter A, M or Y...

The only problem is, I don't know what to dress up as.

I was thinking of a angel or mermaid...but I don't know....

Could you please suggest costumes and other things to me and how I can actually decorate the place?

Well there are loads of things you could go as

A-

ARMY

Astronaught

Angel

ALICE IN WONDERLAND (bright colourful decorations that make the place look like a fairtytale?) (streamers, choc fountatin etc)

Alien

Aladdin (how about an arabain style decor? You could have veils and candles and all that jazz)

Addams family (spooky theme?)

Maid

Marlyn monroe?  (in that case glitzy decoration is good, with lots of banners, and disco balls and mirrors and disco lights)

mermaid (blue/green aquatic decorations)
