I am planning my sweet sixteen (well, the one I hope to have). I don't have a lot of money, actually any at all. I am going to use some fundraisers to raise money, and donate some to a charity. Any fundraising ideas? As for the sweet sixteen I want to have an under the sea theme. I want to make my own cake, any good under the sea wedding type cakes (pics etc). I need ideas for any online stores with inexpensive prices, also any favor ideas, invite ideas, and as mentioned before cake, and fundraising ideas. Please anything that will save a lot of money, I can get some money from a mothers friend who insists that he will pay for it so it's extra special. PLEASE HELP! and nothing to do with drugs, or prostitution please.

  1. If you know someone with a band and had them play in your backyard that would be great. For fundrasing maybe a poker game i dont know but I got this from ehow.com

    Things You’ll Need:

        * Refreshments

        * Pen

        * Decorations

        * Invitations

        * Paper

    Plan a Sweet Sixteen Party

    Step 1:

    Start planning by picking out a theme for your party. Even if it is just a matter of selecting one or two colors as a decoration scheme, this decision will help guide you choices throughout the rest of the party planning process.

    Step 2:

    Figure out how many guests will be invited by writing down their names and addresses on a piece of paper. You may have to limit the number of people you invite based on how much money you have to spend on the party.

    Step 3:

    Develop a budget for refreshments such as food, drinks and most important of all, the cake. Once you know how much you can afford to spend, you can start interviewing caterers and rental catering halls. They will generally quote you prices per person and many hotels and other facilities require that you use only their caterers and bakeries.

    Step 4:

    Select your invitations with the party theme in mind. Plan to send them out at least two weeks in advance if the majority of your guests live locally. If you are inviting friends and family from around the country, you should mail your invitations at least one month in advance and may even wish to send a "save the date" card to those whose travel will require advance preparations.

    Step 5:

    Arrange entertainment for your guests. This can be as simple as hiring a DJ to play the music throughout the night or as show-stopping as hiring costumed performers to stroll among the tables during dinner. You are only limited by your budget and your imagination when coming up with entertainment ideas.

    Step 6:

    Talk to a florist or party planner about decorations for your party. You can also design decorations on your own if your budget doesn't permit the added expense of hiring someone.

    Step 7:

    Be a good hostess and give your guests a small favor to remember the occasion by. It can be anything from a small thank you note at their seat to a highly personalized item like an engraved frame or gourmet chocolates.

  2. You will need games or movies or food to pass the time, personally I suggest all three. see if one of your friends can loan you guitar hero or rock band. That will keep you and your friends busy challenging each other for a long time. Watch the movie 16 candles or maybe she's the man or mean girls or something. When you eat or hang out maybe have some background music playing.

    I would try to get a raspberry or peach punch that maybe has blue food coloring to go with the who under the deep blue sea thing, Your cake should be blue and green (maybe with an ariel thing on it. and those number candles or sparkling candles. those are fun and memorable.)
