Question:

Sweet Tea - I'm from FL - Has anyone who lives somewhere other than the south tasted Sweet Tea? Did you like?

I just was wondering because everytime I go out west or up north I can't get sweet tea and if you try they always come with that raspberry or other flavored stuff and if that happens just forget it, theres no use trying to explain what sweet tea is.

My question is this, why isn't it sold in other places. People in the south drink it more than water or milk, Im just wondering if we have crazy taste buds or do other people not like it.

You would think some restaurant would be making a killing on the monopolized sweet tea game up north and in the south?

Is it really not that good?

  1. All of the mid west has sweet tea now too. It's slowly making it's way out. :)  I'm born and raised in Missouri, but my mom is from Georgia, so I've grown up on wonderful sweet tea. I'm an addict you could say.

  2. you're right.  It's very weird.  I've traveled down to gulf shores and on the way there, it is very popular.  One particular brand we saw in grocery stores was Milo's which tasted pretty good.   But my only guess is that the south has their own taste in tea, when it comes to sweet tea.  The rest of the country needs some fruitiness to it.

  3. actually, I have had it in Texas,Oklahoma, Kansas, and here in Pennsylvania, more places are trying it, and selling it. Arbys has it too

  4. Im from Florida too and I HATE it when places dont have sweet tea. Like, I don't want your flavored c**p. I want sweet tea!
