  1. I love your colors.

You can get some tulle fabric at the fabric store and tie that around the chairs, tulle is that white fabric that is net-like, you can make bows around the chairs, tie it around the chairs and have the bows on the back of the chair and the tails of the bow hanging down.  You can even get some royal blue ribbon and mix it in so it's hanging down with the tail, get velvet ribbon for a really nice touch!  They also have those things at party stores that are wires with stars at the end, they're hard to describe, but they are wirey, and they have decorations on the end like stars, hearts, etc, you can put them in blue mixed in with the tulle bow and it will look really pretty and cool too!

For the tables, do royal blue tablecloths and white napkins.  For the centerpiecs, you can do white pillar candles on a piece of silver cardboard round disk (you can get them in the cake decorating section of the craft store) and if you can't find the disks in silver and only white, spray paint them silver, or if you want, leave them white.  Put the white pillar candle on the silver disks, and you can add a wide blue velvet ribbon around the base of the pillar candle.  I hope I'm not confusing you.

Let me try again.  Get a round disk, like the cardboard ones you put a cake on, or you can go to the dollar store and get a silver plastic platter that's round.  Put a tall white pillar candle on it and around the base of the candle, wrap a wide blue velvet ribbon, and tie a bow like the tulle has.  It will look very pretty and elegant.

You can also decorate in white and blue balloons in clusters around the party area and streamers from the center of the ceiling to the corners of the room.

You can then get some of the white paper lanterns in white and hang them throughout the party and one right in the center of the ceiling/room.  It will look really cool and pretty to have them mixed in with all the blue and white decorations.  If your party is in winter, replace the lanterns with white snowflakes instead.

For the middle of the table, if you don't want to do the disks. get some clear vases, put some blue glass beads in them, which you can get in the floral section of any craft store, mix them with clear beads, and put a white pillar candle down in the vase, and have the beads surrounding the candle.

In either case, you don't want to light the candle, believe me, you don't need that stress of someone knocking it over, etc.  I know you'd probably want to, but it's more stress than what it's worth.  There are AWESOME flameless candles out that look real you can get them and use them instead.  Anyway, put the white pillar candle down into the vase and have the blue and clear beads surround the candle in the vase.  It will look really pretty.

You can also scatter the white paper lanterns around the ceiling, do it in the corners, the middle of the ceiling, and anywhere you want, they will look really pretty and cool with the royal blue.

If you don't want to decorate the ceiling with streamers, get some more tulle and some blue sateen fabric and use that.  You can put that going from the ceiling out to the corners of the room, and use both colors, alternate though, you don't want to mix those colors when doing that though.  You can figure it out as you're doing it.

You can also use the fabrics to drape the tables and other areas of the party.  If you have a DJ or band, drape their area, if you have a buffet, drape that area, but make sure that it's NOT touching the floor, you don't want your guests to trip and get hurt!

You can also get either the clear stringed Christmas lights or the white paper lantern stringed lights and put them around the party area.  It will give a really nice mood to the party and look really cool.  The lights will add a really nice touch!

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Sweet 16!

  2. aww babii is so cute... lol. well theres alot you have to think about. theres table clothes, table centers, whether u have colomns in ur hall and wish to decorate them, ur partner (and ur friends who will b participating), invitations, bla bla bla. i think ur colors r nice (im guessing its a fall winter sweet 16???) i think you should do royal blue and silver (and white if u want a 3rd color) this way, u can have silver balloons which will look great with the dark blue as oppose to the white. you can also find the blue and silver confetti to throw over the tables. for table clothes, you could also probably use plain big white and then smaller blue silk sheets to contrast if u'd like. throw blue in silver balloons on the floor. as far as center pieces for the tables... you can do water bowls with blue and silver (or white) floating candles... what else can you do...
