Sweet sixteen party help needed!!!!

Question

Okay, I have a budget of $1000-1300

But thats including renting a place to have it.....

Ideas of where to find a place?.

I am thinking about masquarade, I will provide masks at the party. {Already have the masks!}

Its going to be a big party 200-300 people.

Semi-formal/formal

But I need decoration ideas

Food ideas

{I doubt I could find a someone to cater for that price so maybe italian?}

Activity ideas?

Or any better themed ideas?

It will most likely be inside.

if you cook the food yourself, you don't have enough money to feed everyone unless your thinking of chips and dip.  you could do a party for maybe 50 people.

Cold cut meat with bread and rolls and stuff for sandwiches that way everyone could get a type of meat they like salad and something like rigatoni then chips dip pop

Well anywhere with a dancefloor is a good place to rent. Take some air freshener so it smells super fresh when guests arrive! :D

For decorations, you could model it after masquerade/grand ball scenes from movies like Phantom of the Opera, Van Helsing (one scene is at a masquerade), or movies like Pride and Prejudice. Big plants in Marble-like pots and candles and chandeliers are classic masquerade Decor. Streamers, paintings, sculptures, etc. Its a difficult thing to decorate because the decorations are usually a part of the room. Of course, you could go non-traditional.
