Sweetnessandlight confident to register first success at Yarmouth
Having proved her class at various big race venues, Sweetnessandlight looks to be confident to make her first Yarmouth trip a success. Considering the way the Jason Ward trained bay filly grabbed three classic victories during the last couple of months,
it seems obvious that she will be able to contain a dozen of competitors convincingly to seal top position in the E B F At The Races John Musker Fillies´ Stakes (for the John Musker Trophy) (Listed Race) that is scheduled to be run on Wednesday.
Along with the winning momentum, the three-year-old veteran runner has plenty of pleasant experience with good to firm surfaces. Hopefully, she will produce a decent pace over 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 21 yards to take an early lead and then maintain it till
the boundary strap. Ted Durcan will be on her back again.
The daughter of the American sire, Aussie Rules, and Irish dam, Taschlynn, possesses an impressive track record that shows 5 victories off 15 starts. Four of her triumphs have come this year.
On May 23, the fantastic filly nicely notched up the title of Green Fee Offers At southwellgolfclub.com Classified Selling Stakes while being the 4-11 favourite. She moved on to win the 15-runner big race named as Yorkshire.com Back Le Bid Selling Handicap
on July 27----she was the joint favourite candidate for that contest.
The Dxb Bloodstock Ltd bred maverick sprinter reaped the same in the very next outing that was Market Cross Jewellers Handicap. Both these races went down at Thirsk.
The brilliant sprinter stepped forward to complete her maiden hat-trick by winning the CGC Events For Conference & Banqueting Handicap at Pontefract.
Sweetnessandlight finished 4th against 15 competitors in her last outing on September 1. During the last two weeks, the filly underwent some extensive training to build up on the momentum she had gained.
Both the punters and the sport fans have pinned many hopes with Ward’s pupil. Though it seems to be pretty hard for her to live up to all the expectations, but she will do it by applying her utmost stamina and inherent racing skills. Good luck to her.
