Question:

Swelling, burning, later itching after s*x... what is it?

Monday night bf and I had s*x for the first time again after not seeing each other for 6 weeks. Actually multiple times; the last being a little on the rough side. Afterward, I felt a little vaginal discomfort and then, when I went to pee, some burning. When I woke up Tuesday it was a little worse, but not serious, so attempted more s*x, but that hurt too bad,so we stopped. The pain got progressively worse through Tuesday, and peeing made it burn so bad I was a little afraid to go. I did a little self examination and the 'entrance' area was pretty red and I was swollen completely shut. I lost a tiny bit of blood that day (really red) in a thick, clearish discharge. It didn't smell like much at all.

I had a yeast infection 6 weeks ago, so I decided to apply the cream (micanozol) just in case. Wednesday, the burning/pain was pretty bad all day.. urinating pretty bad as well. I seemed to be 'wet' most of the time. By Thursday morning, the swelling seemed to be going way down, and the burning was significantly less. Itching started to take its place. Today, the burning is 99% gone, even during urination, though wiping is still slightly problematic. Almost like it makes the area too dry, even when I'm careful. The swelling is completely gone. The itching comes and goes, but isn't nearly as bad. I can move around and whatnot as normal. (Obviously haven't had intercourse, though!)

I was hesitant to see a doctor. Not my favorite thing, embarrassment, no time, wanted to wait and see what happened, etc. BF and I also figured we might have overdone it on Monday... that maybe I got dried out or that I somehow got a little cut inside.. and then got irritated/infected because of it. Usually I make sure to pee after each round, but this time there was so much 'activity' his s***n just kind of hung around in me for a while. Probably for a few hours before I finally went.

What do you guys think?

Swelling (inner), burning, later itching (part of healing process?). No weird smells, more wetness/discharge than usual (though maybe it was cream melting?).

And when do you think s*x would be ok after the symptoms subside?

Any experience?

Thanks. :)

(BTW, it's not an STD, because I'm his first, he's my second but only used a condom before. It's not a condom allergy, because we don't use them; I'm on the pill.)

  1. yea more than likely its nothing to worry about since you guys are faithful. just probably a rug burn if u know what i mean after some intense s*x... if it continues go to the doctor don't be embarrassed they see girls with worst problems than you and the probably see like 30 v****a's a day.

take it easy on the s*x and you gonna go at it use some lube lol

  2. maybe because you had not done it in a while. See your doc to be sure!

  3. You created little microtears from all the s*x. The burning was caused by the urine touching the open sores. The itching is now caused by the little tears healing. I'd take some asprin or advil and just leave it alone for a couple of days. If it happens again, just take some pain killers to relieve the swelling. You'll be fine.

  4. It could be some type of infection, like a yeast infection.

I'll throw this out there because it's something to think about - You haven't seen him in 6 weeks, are you sure he didn't contract something while he was away?

And the third option is an allergic reaction to his s***n.  If I read you correctly, prior to this "activity" you were using condoms, but now you are on the pill and he's ejaculating inside of you.  I don't think it's common, but it's not uncommon either - to be allergic to s***n.

If that's a possibility, you might run some tests and have him *** somewhere else and see if that area becomes infected.  Good Luck, I hope it's just a minor infection and goes away!
