Hi

I have an absess under my tooth. I went to the dentist for it and was prescribed amoxicillin for 5 days. It helped but after the 5 days the pain was still there, I was given another course of antibiotics. They have recently just finished and now my gum is incredibly swollen! The tooth doesn't hurt as much but my gum is very sensitive. What has happened? Theres no way I can see a dentist till next monday at the earliest. Is this an emergancy? Or can I last till then?

  1. call your dentist if you cant go and see them.

  2. Ouch I had an absess and it got really swollen so they had to go in and lance it to drain all the puss. You may just want to wait it out but if it gets too painful I would go to an emergency room.
