  1. Just put your feet up hun. I haven't been able to wear anything but my flip flops for a month now. Just retained water, it will go away after the little bundle arrives. I think it's God's way of making sure we relax towards the end of our pregnancy.

  2. Ohhh I know what that's like! Swelling at this late stage is pretty normal so don't worry about it too much. Like my Obstetrician said, the only cure for it is having the baby (I almost punched him when he said that! lol). Putting your feet up and ensuring you get plenty of rest is the only real solution to fluid retention in pregnancy. You'll probably find that it will get much worse immediately after you have your little bundle of joy and this is because your kidney's can't process all the extra fluid your body produces during pregnancy. The good news is, after a few days it will suddenly disappear! It happens very quickly so you'll just have to put up with it for now and wait for that magical day when it disappears. Congratulations on your pregnancy and best of luck for the arrival of your precious baby.

  3. As long as your blood pressure is good, then swelling is normal. Just fluid/ water retention. At the end of my 1st pregnancy, my feet and ankles looked like elephants' feet...lol! I didnt have swelling in my hands but my sister did. Just keep your feet elevated and try to stay off of them as much as possible. Keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water and juice. Also, continue to monitor your blood pressure. Congratulations and good luck with your delivery!

  4. swelling at different times of the pregnancy can be totally normal........the extra pressure and weight..heat of the day etc.......

but....to be on the safe side i woud check with the doctor....what u dont need is pre-eclampsia............a blood pressure condition that can develop....it can be serious...so if your in doubt at all...then go to your doc :)

  5. really normal, the end of pregnancy is hard work...you know it isnt related to high bp so there is nothing to worry about really.

Best way to deal with it is drink lots of water and i hear eat water melon?!

get your partner to massage your sore hands and feet with some nice cooling pepermint or watermelon gel if you can get it because that will help you feel better, and keep off your feet as much as possible...enjoy the last month and concerntrate on being happy about what you know is going to be coming very soon now!! good luck!

  6. Hi!  Wow have I been there before!  As long as you don't get any other symptoms of preeclampsia (high blood pressure, protein in urine, severe headache, seeing spots) then you have nothing to worry about.  It's just normal pregnancies woes.  I found that it took a few months for my hands to get back to normal after pregnancy #2, but the feet went down right after the birth.

  7. I did that too, but i had toxemia. but since your blood pressure is normal it is probably just water retention, almost all women have swelling at the end of their pregnancy. the strange thing is drinking water somehow helps with water retention, so stay well hydrated and prop your feet up on a pillow hope this helped! ps. also make sure to keep a good check on your blood pressure just to be safe.and good luck!
