Today I noticed that the middle of my gums (on the bottom) hurt when I touch it. I looked in the mirror and I saw that it was swollen. What could it be?

PS Don't tell me to go to the dentist because I'm currently unable to.

thanks

  2. It could be an abscessed tooth and for that you do have to see the dentist. An abscessed tooth can kill you. Look it up. Try flossing nightly and see if it goes away. Do you have bleeding when you brush your teeth? It may just be gingivitis. If you floss and it gets better then you will know how to prevent it from happening again. Good luck.

  3. could be gingivitis. And I have to tell you to go to the dentist. If you cant right now, go get some prevention mouthwash. It helps get rid of and prevent gingivitis and gets rid of bacteria.  Try it.

  4. it could be the early signs of gingivitis. If it is, brush your teeth more often then usual, and brush extra well. You should also use Listerine or something similar twice a day. The same thing happened to me and I took really good care of my mouth and it went away. "Pink in the sink" can also be an early sign of gingivitis. Or, you could just have something stuck in your gums. Try flossing.
