Swift Barbara in form for the Mann Fishmonger Classic Race
The year-old brindle b***h, Swift Barbra, takes the lead of the Grade A5 Mann Fishmonger Classic Race. The event will be held at Sheffield on Tuesday, 13th November over 500 metres flat. Trying their luck with the winner’s share in the total prize
money of £90 are, Imesta, Jeninsky, Shut Up Monkey, Graigues Peleton and Flying Girl.
The R. Warren trained, Swift Barbra, joined the racing career just this season and has raced only at Sheffield. Besides the career debut, all the other outings were over 500 metres.
Her first Grade A5 attempt was in an A5 500 metres flat race on 27th September, 2012 at Sheffield. The blue trap ended fifth while the race was won by, Stepaside Beatie, who made it to the other end of the wire in 30.35 seconds.
However, the very next try of Vans Escalade’s daughter was in the Grade A5 Betfred Bookmakers Race, which she won. The race on 4th October, 2012 at Sheffield saw her breaking from the third trap. The year-old was quick to set into an early pace,
and led on for the wire from the very first position. It took her 30.59 seconds and led by the mark of ¾ of a length.
Settling as the runner-up was, Lusty Lord.
After three setbacks, the brindle b***h out of, Swift Passion, won the Grade A5 Adopt Greyhounds 01142 888300 on 2nd November, 2012 over 500 metres. The joint favourite had leapt from the third trap, and led in right from the beginning concluding
the race in 30.33 seconds. Missing the winner’s crown by ¾ of a length was, Finnside Kitty.
The R. Warren trained had her most recent try in the Grade A5 Owners Bonus Series – Heat 2 on 6th November, 2012 at Sheffield. The brindle hound failed to extend her winning form and ended third. The major contribution to the ranking was her inability
to break free from the crowd she got stuck in when racing in the third spot.
The race was won by, Full Tilt, who timed the track distance in 30.20 seconds.
The 9 to 4 shot for the race has drawn the fourth gate for the race tonight.
