Swift Whiskey to land Newcastle’s William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV by building on fresh success
Thursday’s task in no easy, but still Swift Whiskey has a squeak in the William Hill Supporting Racing Post TV at Newcastle. The brindle dog has never scored regularly, but deserves respect on his fresh victory.
After facing three terrible defeats at different levels, the J. Wright-trained finally got his act together last time. In a 480 metres A2 contest, he showed an extraordinary act.
After leaving the fourth box, the son of Kinloch Brae unleashed the best of his skills. His strategy to go wide worked well, as he led soon after the start. He never looked back thereafter.
With the help of an outstanding effort, the December-10 hound claimed the first prize comfortably by three and a half lengths. Inconsistency is a severe issue, but it would be injustice if we ignore him after an impressive victory.
Other runners in the pack are: Ferndale Falcon, Centaur Chav, Mr Monkey, Target Jackie and Nifty Crash. It is an A1 event, and carries a winning prize of 133 pounds. As per the plan, the meeting will be commenced at 21:31 GMT.
Nifty Crash seems to have been around forever. The brindle dog is keen on his return to this class. On the last A1 outing, Crash’s son was an easy ¾-length winner earlier this month.
Target Jackie has not been cutting much mustard in this class. The black b***h missed the crown by a length’s distance on her latest ride a few days ago. Trusting her blindly in this grade is not the way to any riches.
Ferndale Falcon is likely to play a significant role. Although the son of Westmead Hawk has not won since early October, his last few races were consistent. Only an extra push is required to come out of the unlucky patch.
Centaur Chav should feel comfortable in this company. But his recent form is not good at all. Since tasting success at the end of October, the brindle dog has been performing below par. Mr Monkey has a smart pair of trapping boots, but needs real fire to
shine. Good luck to all the participants.
