Swiftly Done and Pokfulham earn a double victory for rider Daniel Tudhope at Newcastle
Swiftly Done turned heads in the Betfred Seaton Delaval Handicap at Newcastle on 28th June, 2012, where he tackled the heavy surface of the track in an efficient manner under rider, Daniel Tudhope.
Swiftly Done was named for a reason, because he brought speed, agility and skill to the 1 mile track.
The son of Whipper, out of mare Ziffany, crossed the finish-line first, followed closely by the race favourite, Prince Of Sorrento, who missed the victory by a small margin of a nose, while the third place was secured by the Brian Ellison trained,
Memory Cloth.
The five-year-old gelding’s race was greatly appreciated, because he demonstrated superior racing skills on a soaking wet ground.

Only four of the seven races at Newcastle were completed, because they couldn’t be continued with the excessive downpour the day before.
Trainer Declan Carroll was pleased with the performance of the bay gelding, who scored the second consecutive victory in this event. The runner is on hat-trick and the handler discussed his future plan when he told the media that:
"I didn't think we'd got it. It was very close and I thought we were beaten because the other day we had one similar and I was convinced we'd won but we'd lost. He'll be trained for the Cambridgeshire now. He's won that off 90. He goes on soft, he
certainly wouldn't want it firm."
This seems to a lucky month for the Joe Fogarty bred runner, because prior to Newcastle, he succeeded in the 1 mile Bill Fouracres Handicap at Doncaster on 8th June, 2012.

The gelding definitely likes the surface of the track to be soft, as he bagged the victory over the David O'Meara trained, Classic Colori, by half-length.
The heavy surface of the track was also handled well by Pokfulham, who gave Daniel Tudhope a double win on the same card.
The rider paired up with the son of Mull Of Kintyre, out of mare Marjinal, to take on the 2 mile track in the Betfred "Bonus King Bingo" Handicap.

The Jim Goldie trained runner also landed the victory by a marginal difference of a nose over, Rock Relief.
