I am doing an interview for my newsletter i do for my friends, i need only swim coaches answers, please answer:

What kind of schooling did you have to go through to be a coach?

What is your favorite part of coaching?

What kind of jobs have you had before coaching(if any)?

Did you swim competively before coaching?

How do you think your students(swimmers) describe you as?

What are some ways to turn out an inward breastroke foot?

  1. I did not do any schooling to become a swim coach.  I was a home grown swimmer in a smaller community.  I do have education in psych and nursing.

    I began coaching a summer league as an assistant at first.  I was 16.  I did not begin coaching winter until I went to college.

    My favorite part of coaching is to develop competitive swimmers from the ground up.

    Before coaching I was a lifeguard

    I swam competitively since the age of 7.

    I think swimmers describe me as a fair coach who gets results

    For someone who is doing a scissor kick they should focus on turning the knees outwards and also pull the toes up

    I have coached Western YMCA, DAOS (no longer), DST (Delaware swim team) and numerous summer clubs
