i love to swim but i want to swim comfortably with a trusted goggle company. is it possible if i swim with my contacts on and have the speedo goggles stuck to my face tight? what happens if water gets into the goggles?

i heard about subscription goggles but i have a picture in my mind where they look strange plus i dont want them since if it breaks or wears down (which i usually have to buy like 3 times a year for good goggles)

  1. As long as you have a soft contact lense you should be fine!!! I am a very competitive swimmer, and i get water in my eye all the time even with my goggles, it doesn't matter! honestly!! (i mean unless it falls out but that only happens if you open ur eyes underwater!!!) so just worry about getting goggles to fit the shape of your face and all should be well. Just remember to  clean ur contacts each night, the water shouldn't effect it. all the swimmers i know with contacts wear them when they swim.

  2. You can swim with contacts together with your speedo goggles; however I would recommend getting prescriptive googles since this will avoid getting chlorinated water in your contacts.

They do not look strange; just your average/regular googles with "grades" (for a lack of term, pardon).  Speedo also carries them but get them from a good ophthalmologist.

  3. omg i have the same problem. i swim competively. sometimes i just swim with contacts in :p i dont get any water in but that stinks for you. try a local eye store in a mall.
