Swim or not?

My son used to swim three years back. He learnt swimming when he was 8 years old. Now aftert three years he wants to swim again. Can he swim after 3 years without any instruction?

hmmm swimming isnt easily forgotten.

if he swam well when he was eight then certainly 11 shouldnt make too much of a difference.

Hop in the pool with him in the shallow end 3 feet and let him swim. then once you see that he is secure, go ahead and let him swim freely, you could always tell the lifeguard to keep an eye on him as well.

He'll be able to swim, but it will take practice for him to get back into shape and for him to get better. He won't be able to get right in and start doing well, but he'll probably be able to advance faster since he already knows how.

With practise, yes, though I advise supervision and a shallow pool for the first few tries. To answer the question to swim or not to swim, definite YES!!!!!!!
