Also is there any off shore training i sohuld do etc. How often should i do it and how many days a week, all your advice would be great: ) thank you

  1. First of all, I wouldn't recommend swimming in deep water (like 20 feet). Here are some drills that you might want to do. You will need a few items though. I'm going to go in order.

    1. Flutter kick for 10 Minutes

    2. Freestyle 10 Minutes

    3. Flutter kick on your back 5 Minutes

    4. Double Arm Backstroke 2-3 Minutes

    5. Backstroke 5 Minutes

    6. Butterfly Kick 10 Minutes

    7. Butterfly 10 Minutes

    8. Breast Stroke Kick 5 Minutes

    9. Breast Stroke 5 Minutes

    10. Workout/Build Endurance/Muscle 10-15 Minutes

All, it should be about a 75 Minute Exercise.. It would be great if you have a kickboard. And, try to do it every day or every other day. At where I live, we do 60 Minutes every day....

  2. u must b really dedicated to swimming..i would never be able to train in off seasons..but when its time to swim again it hurts.

i would suggest actual swimming in the lake..if u have them, use a kick board and pull buoy to strenghthen up ur arms and legs, I would do a lot of crutches *yes they r boring but they work* chances r..uve packed on the pounds..so u wanna slim down..plus butterfly is very painful *trust me* with extra belly fat

    good luck and swim fast!

  3. Any type of swimming exersice would help you, but you should also start some land exercises. Running, lunges, squats, crunches, weight training, etc. Any kind of muscles you build helps in swimming since it requires just about everything. I try to focus on my shoulders, thighs and calfs.

    I hope that helps!

  4. Well, I practice 4-5 days a week for 2 hours (swimming for the past 5 years). But one of my friends have only swam for about 3 years, practices 3-4 days a week for 2 hours and she's better than me. I have to say, muscles are a big deal in swimming and it doesn't matter how much you work as much as how much work you put into it every time you practice. i hope i helped =)
