Swim workouts out of the water?

I was just wondering, what are some good workouts to do out of the water to improve my freestyle? I want to increase the power in my legs and build endurance for longer distances.

  1. Leg extensions and ham curls on a weight machine will help some.

    Also, try leg lifts, leg scissors, leg circles while lying on your back, with your hands either flat on the floor or under your butt. Do like 5 sets of 30 reps with some rest in between each set. In fact, while resting your legs, you can roll over and do some push-ups to help your arm and chest strength.


  2. my swim team swims 8 laps then runs 2 miles in our speedos then repeat
