SwimMAC Carolina-NC sweeps relay events: Day four – 2012 NC Charlotte UltraSwim
The relay squad of SwimMAC Carolina-NC swept gold medals of the Women and Men’s 4*100m medley relay on day four of the 2012 NC Charlotte UltraSwim at the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center in Charlotte on Sunday, May 13.
First of all, the team ‘B’ of SwimMAC Carolina snared gold medal of the Women’s relay event by touching the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 13.30 seconds.
They were followed by their team ‘A’, which remained almost two seconds slower from them and tapped the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 4 minutes and 15.87 seconds.
Third spot of the race was secured by squad of Tennessee Aqua-SE, which stayed almost half body length slower from their foregoing finisher and settled on the victory stand for bronze medal by touching the wall with the timing of 4 minutes and 16.33 seconds.
Fourth position of the event was secured by team of Marlins Raleigh-NC that stayed nearly thirteen seconds slower from the third position holder and hit the finishing end with the timing of 4 minutes and 29.11 seconds.
Subsequently, the situation reversed in the Men’s equivalent event, where SwimMAC Carolina-NC ‘A’ made no mistake and captured gold medal of the discipline by posting a time of 3 minutes and 45.50 seconds.
They were trailed by their ‘B’ squad, which suffered a deficit of almost five seconds and secured second position of the event by posting a time of 3 minutes and 50.36 seconds.
Third position of the discipline was secured by Tennessee Aqua-SE, who remained almost nine seconds apart and tapped the wall with the timing of 3 minutes and 59.31 seconds.
Their gruelling effort remained nearly four seconds faster from Rough Riders-NJ, who ended fourth in the event by posting a time of 4 minutes and 03.03 seconds.
The championship came to an end after the completion of all planned events while the position holders were invited on the victory stand for awards and accolades at the prize distribution ceremony.
In addition, the position holders receive a huge round of applause from the audience for their gruelling efforts.
