  1. Ive been on the swim team for 7 years and my skin always does this. After swimming I always wash my face and skin with a wet towel to remove the dead skin. then I put aloe vera on before bed. I think our skin just has a reaction to the chlorine, its not anything to worry about.

  2. Some dry patches are normal, chlorine is a level 2 NFPA 704 irritation agent in swimming water meaning that some skin dryness is possible in water. Just use a hydrating cream or calamine lotion on it and it should go away. Also make sure that you shower after you swim, this can cut back on the dryness and it's also been shown to decrease itchiness and slight rashes that occur as a result of exposure to chlorinated pool water.

  3. They are natural because the chlorine dries your skin out.  You can get a good lotion to help alleviate the dryness.  Go to the pharmacist's window at your local drug store and ask the pharmacist which over-the-counter lotion would be best for it.

  4. Yea, you must have been swimming more than you have and your body is just not used to the clorene. You should be fine, if it stays like that for another 2 days, put some "dove" moisturizing cream on it.

  5. Take showers after swimming, it should help. I used to have that before, but getting used to chlorine doesn't take long.

  6. your body just isn't used to the chlorine use lotion, lots of it.

when you get out of practice shower, then put lotion on.

put extra lotion on the spots that are dry.

  7. hahah yeah! thats normal. just using lotion everyday, after practice should really help it. try and get some lotion that calls for "really dry skin" that helps the best!
