I have this pain (like tendionitus) in the inside of my right ankle. Not like a sprain. it swells a little. anyway it hurts when I'm swimming. like a pulling stinging kind of pain. I want to know What it may be and if I could injure it more by swimming, and what I can do to help it during practice. any ideas?

  1. when you swim try not to rotate it just try swimming with your legs and not your feet that should help you alot. Or you can try wrapping it in the water proof straps.

  2. Talk to your trainer.  You can take Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil to reduce the swelling.  I would wrap the ankle with an ace bandage in a criss cross between the ankle and the arch of your foot for compression and support.  And always ask an MD, it never hurts!
