Swimmers dominate in Men’s 50m butterfly A, B and C finals: 7th Singapore Long Course Nationals
In the fifth and last race of the day, Glenn Victor Sutanto, Ben Proud and Brian Howard took home the Men’s 50m butterfly A, B and C finals at the 7th Singapore Long Course Nationals, held in Singapore, from June 21-26, 2011.
Initially, Sutanto won the Men’s 50m butterfly A-final with a sterling time of 24.88 seconds, while Guntur Pratama Putra wound up second in 25.10 seconds. Joseph Isaac Schooling earned third place honours after he touched the finishing wall in 25.15 seconds.
Jerome Teo of Swimfast Aquatic Club was placed fourth in 25.25 seconds, whereas, Dzulhaili M.K earned the fifth spot in 25.55 seconds. Nicholas Tan settled sixth after he touched the finishing wall in 25.74 seconds. Jian Deng stood seventh in 25.79 seconds
and Russell Ong wound up eight in 25.83 seconds.
After winning the 50m butterfly A-final, Indonesian swimmer, Glenn Victor Sutanto, was very excited and pleased with his performance. He claimed that he will continue with the same form in the upcoming events of competitive swimming.
Ben Proud of Swimfast Aquatic Club won the Men’s 50m butterfly B final with a winning time of 25.27 seconds, while Omar Suryaatmadja wound up second in 26.20 seconds and Rainer Ng earned the third place honours with a time of 26.24 seconds.
Shaun Ian De Villiers grabbed fourth spot in 26.42 seconds, while Nicholas Sim settled fifth in 26.61 seconds. Anshul Kothari of India wound up sixth in time of 26.71 seconds, whereas, Chow Wai of Swimfast Aquatic Club earned seventh spot in 26.83 seconds.
Brian Howard of Indonesia snatched the Men’s 50m butterfly C final with a triumphant time of 26.56 seconds, while Jia h*i Mattias NG of Ace Swim Club wound up second in 26.70 seconds. Darren Quin Feng Ling of China earned third place in a time of 26.76 seconds,
whereas, Joshua Ling rounded out the top four in 27.30 seconds.
Both Proud and Howard were elated after winning in their respective meets of the 50m butterfly event.
