  1. I hate to brake it to you, but you are not going to really get anything about swimming out of a discussion. You have to just dive in as it were. Have you contacted a local YMCA, or health center? Also many colleges offer beginning swimming classes. I swam in college and could list all kinds of tips on breathing form and such. But you really need to just get in the water and have someone show you. Sorry I can't be more help.

  2. You really wouldn't be able to learn all there is about swimming in a q & a discussion. I started swimming 3 years ago and i am still learning about the stuff related to swimming.

Talk to your coach about your needs, more often than not they would be able to help you

  3. When you want to go underwater, I would breathe in deeply and hold it, then let it out for a couple of times. Then take one BIG deep breath and go under. Keep your mind off the fact that ur underwater: sing a song in your head; think about what you did/going to do that day.

  4. Well what I would suggest to start is to have someone swim with you who can spot you (watch you) who has the experience like an adult who could save you if need be and start in the same depth of water to how tall you are, and just be calm and breath. Good Luck!
