Swimming Olympic ages.?

All the Olympiads seem to have started there sport whenthey were like 2. Are there any swimming olympiads that started when they were 11-12? Just wondering thanks.

This is such a widely asked question and the answer is NO NO NO NO you def. don't Phelps started at like 11 or 12 or something like that alot of swimmers that start that early tend to burn out anyways sometimes the best ones start at 11,12,13 years old just stay dedicated and work your but off dont worry about anyone else worry about your swimming and it will come...

Do you mean "Olympians" (people who participate in the Olympics)?  

There have been a number of young (around 13) female swimmers especially back in the early and mid 1960's.  A few names include Donna DeVeronna, Claudia Kolb and, Pokey Watson.  There have also been some gymnasts that were quite young.
