  1. yes, clipping your nails will help your speed in a good way.

eat pasta and carbohydrates because they give you energy and strength.

    hope i helped:)

  2. seeded first? wow, you're a beast! unless your nails are ridiculously long they don't really matter because your hand is being placed into the water, unlike the rest of your body which is dragging through it. you've shaved, right? i always eat a lot of carbs before big meets, especially spaghetti. and drinking a lot is important too, so you should start now and continue until you're finished. i usually pack snacks like granola bars, fruit, and gushers, but as long as you eat proper meals you should be fine. good luck!!!

  3. ok, yes, clip your nails. They are more drag because they aren't close together (like webbed hands).

Eat plenty of grains, like noodles and bread. Have some spaghetti or chicken noodle soup for dinner and maybe a sandwich for snacks. Stay hydrated (Gatorade is my drink of choice) and maybe you could pack some plain noodles as a snack too. I did for All-Stars, and dropped some time.

And nice job seeded first in fly and free. ^^ I was first for breaststroke and IM *shivers* so scary..

  4. can't you clip them twice, does it matteR? eat carbs tonight like spaghetti and bread on the side. gatorade and grapes and pretzils are what I pack for swim meets. Also Good Luck! its awesome you are seeded first in fly and free

  5. Yes clip you're nails for two reasons:

    -you can scratch yourself

-they'll cause a little bit of drag

For supper, eat a really big one so that you will be full and don't need to eat as much for breakfast.  Try:

Spaghetti with meatballs, marinara sauce and a breadstick.

For breakfast, don't eat to much so you don't puke in the water (GROSS)

    Snacks:

Bring things that have a lot of protein and healthy vitamins.  Nothing all sugar like candy, because you will have a sugar high, then you'll crash.

    -protein bars

    -bananas

    -apples

    -cheese

    -water

    -gatorade

    -yogurt

Whatever you do, make sure you are hydrated!!!
