Does anyone know how long after acl surgery youd be able to swim?

  1. The small incisions need to be healed before you can swim - esp in a lake (because of bacteria)  your orthopedist will evaluate you at your followup appointment.


  2. I was in the pool just two weeks after my acl surgery.  It depends on how you feel, and just check with your physical therapist and doctor.  You shouldn't have to wait too long after surgery before you can swim!
