I am looking for a swimming cap that will fit over my sholder lenth dread locks. I will be at the lake a lot this year skiing and tubing and I really don't want to get the lake water in my dreads. May not be hot in the fashion part but will keep my hair dry and clean. Please don't respond if you have anything negative things to say. Remember what your mama use to say if you don't have anyhing nice to say don't say anything at all.

  1. hmmm I would think that you could order on line for some sort of specific Swimming cap, maybe if you go to google and type in , Swimming caps for long hair or something you could order some and find a good fit for a swimming cap.

  2. Check for swim caps at these two sites

    www.kiefer.com

    www.swimoutlet.com

Remember, a swim cap will not keep your hair 100 % dry or clean.

Swimcaps are basically for no drag in lap swim and competition.

  3. Try some sea weed.

  4. I have seen some people fit into those latex caps. Obviously it will likely tear. Silicon caps are a lot stronger, that's the best I can suggest. I would think it would be quite tight (might give you some head aches).

  5. Try a Speedo bubble cap, There about the largest swim caps you will find.. You may be able to use the swim band tip below by cutting a silicon cap in half then wearing a bubble cap over it.
