  1. you could try wearing a swim cap. it keeps the water out of your hair and it keeps the hair out of your face too.

  2. Ummm....Find a shampoo that works for your hair type,  and every time you go swimming take a shower after. Thats what i do and it works.

  3. rinse it before you go in the pool and after you get out. The chlorine won't bind to your hair as much if it's already wet when you get in the water. They also sell a shampoo that's made to get chlorine out of hair...I forget what's it's called, but it's something simple like "chlorine-out" or....?

  4. Swim caps are good for keeping your hair out of your face and help you to glide through the water faster.  That's it.

When I was on the swim team I washed my hair after every swim.  I always washed it twice.  Like shampoo, rinse, shampoo, rinse.  I also used extra conditioner to help treat my hair.  I never had any problems, my routine worked very well for me.

Have fun this summer.  Happy Swimming!!

  5. Try getting your hair wet with plain water before you get in the pool. Or put some conditioner in it before you get in, although that can be kind of messy inside your cap.

  6. swim cap, or lotsa conditioner

  7. yum

  8. To be honest I have no idea.  I'd probably listen to one of the ladies before me and just use conditioner frequently and invest in a swim cap.  The main reason I'm replying to this is to keep you from putting ketchup in your hair.  Don't do this, the person that said this has no idea what he's talking about.  Its a common misconception that chlorine turns blondes to green.  I'm blonde, and I've been a pool guy for 8 years.  Its actually copper in the water that will turn your hair green.  So if there's a copper presence, which there rarely is, its possible.  And even if this does happen, I highly doubt ketchup works for this.  So don't do it!

  9. if possible try to shower immediatly after swimming

and if ur a blonde and it turns green put in ketchup and leave in for 10 min. then shower it WORKS it is scary how well that works and mildly disgusting!!!

  10. Wear a swim cap.  Do it.  There's no other substitute.

    And condition a lot.

  11. Condition ALOT.

    Everyday!

  12. Thats strange, I had practices twice a day and had no problems. Well i would try only conditioning your hair and not shampooing, maybe do this every other day. Garnaie fruties intense conditioning mask for your hair, seems to work well for me since I strighten it every day.
