hey guys i need help

when i go to the pool

i wanna go to 8 feet

but my problem is that i don't know how to float

can u guys tell me a good way to float on water

please!!!!!!!!

  1. Well, if you asking about how to tread water, it simple. Just do a 'breast-stroke' in a vertical position. ( kick your legs towards the pool floor and your arms pulling your body up.)

    If you're thinking of just floating, just spread your legs and arms in a 'Y' position and you'll find yourself floating. P=F/A , with less pressure acting on the water, you won't sink.

    Lastly, if you're asking about how to conquer the fear of an 8 feet pool, start with the 3.3ft first. Swim in a more shallow area and slowly develop the courage to swim in a 8ft deep pool. The only difference between a shallow and a deep pool is there's more water, and you can go deeper.


  2. for floats, you want to do a back float. keep your head back, staring at the sky, keep your arms out like an airplane and your legs strait. make sure you keep your stomach out, don't worry about looking bloated, thats how you float.

    for treading water, you are in a verticle position. you want to do egg beater. everyone else is kinda stupid. DO NOT do freestyle kick, breaststroke or anything else like that. practice on a chair, move your rite leg in a clock wise motion while your left leg is moving counter clockwise. while you are doing that you want to skull your arms. (push your arms in towards eachother then pull them out)  eggbeter is extremely easy once you learn it but untill then practice on your chair!

  3. You need to learn how to "swim" before you go in water over your head.  

    You learn how to float in the shallow water, then you learn how to swim in the shallow water....then you go to deep water, 8 ft. over your head.

  4. Body straight and flat.  Bend your knees at a 90 degree angle downward.  Put your arms out in a "Y" as if doing the "YMCA" dance.

  5. you mean tread water

    treading water is hard, and it took me a while to do it. but all you have to do is first hold on to the side of the 8 ft deep pool and let your body not touch the side. Kick your legs like if you were swimming freestyle. You can also try moving your legs in a cicular motion where both legs rotate away from each other. Or you can look like you are twitching underwater and are just doing what you can to stay alive :D just kidding haha
