  1. The air temp should be several degrees warmer than the pool temp.

  2. If it is an indoor pool the air should be the same as the pool water. You said it is an open air pool which would mean " open to the air " in which you could not regulated it as it would depend on the weather.

  3. I believe you mean a pool that is outside as opposed to a pool that inside a building.

Regardless, the temperature of the air is totally irrelevant.

You need never worry about getting a cold from it being cold outside as temperature does not cause a cold, a virus causes a cold.  The frequency of colds increases in the cold winter months because people are indoors more and the viruses that cause colds have an easier time being transferred from person to person.

By the way ... here's something to gross you out.  The most common way that people get colds is by what is called self-inoculation.  In other words, they put the virus into their body by themselves ... in other words, they pick their nose.

If you'll recall, all information you read or hear about (and is demonstrated by your doctor) recommends that you frequently wash your hands with soap and the warmest water you can stand.  Doing so helps avoid (logically) self-inoculation.

Some more information ... the convert Celsius to Fahrenheit, do the following ... multiply the C temperature by 1.8 and add 32 to the answer.

    So, the most common body temperature is 37 C.  37 x 1.8 = 66.6.    66.6 + 32 = 98.6F.

To convert F to C, subtract 32 from C, multiply by 5 and divide by 9.
