Question:

Swimming in the sea in Spain in October?

I'm planning to go to Malaga in October and wondering if the sea is warm enough to swim in at that time of year?

I can see it's going to be pretty warm at that time of year but just not sure it's warm enough for the sea!

Otherwise I'll try and find a hotel with a pool instead...

  1. The sea will not be at bath water temperature, but one can still swim in it.

  2. I live in Málaga and I swim in the sea in October. It's obviously not as warm as a pool, but the sea is great to cool off whilst on the beach.

  3. Few years ago we went in October and it was more shorts and t-shirt weather than bikini weather and we were the only people on the beach and  even the pool was too cold to go into, the Spanish people were walking about with jumpers and jackets on, we did need a jacket in the evening.
