i'm going to my friends house today and she has a pool - we're going swimming, but the thing is, im on my period. i know i can use tampons and all that stuff but the thing is, my flow right now isnt very heavy - is it bad to use tampons when you dont have a heavy flow? will it hurt to use them when you aren't heavy? (this is like the second-to-lastish day on my period..)

also, do tampons ever leak in the pool? i'd be so embarassed if they did...

please helppp!

  1. u can use a tampon and it will come out easily when its ready,

it wont leak, u dont bleed in water anyway,

    ul b fne,

    have fun xxxxxxx

  2. As long as they do not have sharks you will be fine.

  3. its fine.  quit stressing.  go swimming.

  4. it is fine to use a tampon even if your not heavy, no it won't hurt and, no they won't leak so don't worry :)

  5. i think its better to use tampons when ur period is light so u dont have to worry about leaking. just make sure u get ones that say like 360 protection and arent super absorbant

  6. you should be fine. I'm on a swim team and have never had a problem.

  7. It should be okay, especially since you're lighter, it shouldn't leak. But, if you're really concerned, just tell your friend that you're on your period and maybe you could go to her house another time. She will understand..all girls get this problem sometime.

  8. no, it won't.

and once you go in the water your period stops while you're in the water.

    so no worries :)

  9. The tampon is the best thing to use while swimming and no they wont leak in the pool as long as they are new. You can use a tampon on ur last/second to last day of ur period, just make sure its a light or super light tampon.

  10. ok so first of all you can use tampons anytime during your period....its not gonna hurt either way hahah

second-yes tampons can leak in a pool...happened to me :/

i know this is gross but you usually wont be able to tell its leaking cause all the blood will rinse off in the pool water...

    ew right?

just be careful and dont worry about it so much
