My sis is going to turn 13 and she doesn't know how to swim She has always been afraid of the water since she was very small. My mom paid her to go to alot of swimming leassons when she was 5,6,7 and 8. She always quited the leassons because she was always afraid of the water, and the instructers were always a bit to pushy with her. She decided to finally learn how to swim, but my mom doesn't want to pay for anymore leassons because of the past. She says she has to learn on her own. We already found a private class with an instructer for $30 for 30 min per class. How can we convince our mom to pay for this?? PLEASE ANSWER!! THX! :)

  1. well maybe you could pay for the fist couple of times and then your mom will notice that she really wants to learn and she will pitch in some..good luck!

  2. Sit down with your mom...And ask her what you and your sister could do in return for swimming lessons...You need to work for it, and proove to your mother that your sister isn't going to quit by helping your mom with whatever she needs done...

  3. Why don't you teach her how to swim for free.  Swimming is mostly about confidence in the water anyway.  If you are just going to recreate, then you don't need to practice technique, just being comfortable in the water.  If you are going to race, then get on a community swim team, it is usually a lot cheaper than $60.00 per hour.  Also, a private swim lesson with no other adults around at her age is inappropriate, even if the instructor is female.

  4. let her know the dangers of not knowing how to swim. try doing favors for her and being nice to her but dont make it to obvious that the only reason your doing it is because of that
