  1. Kick your legs and move your hands in circular motions underwater.

  2. Try getting swimming lessons. Trust me it'll be worth it. You wont have to take any risks of drowning in deep water.

  3. did you try floating on your back? try to keep your head back and your hips up. you'll stay up longer. if you're doing back stroke, then kick hard and you'll float better.

  4. If you are floating on your back, make sure you are keeping your head as far back as you can.  Put your arms out and keep your legs straight but slightly apart.  The most important part of floating is trying to remain relaxed.  Try to breath normally.  If your legs are sinking (this happens to some people), you can try to slowly kick them to help keep them up.

  5. Tredding Water is the skill you are trying to learn. Move your feet like an egg beater, in circular motions. This type of motion can be related to a breaststroke kick, or a froggy kick. Move your arms in the water to maintain balance.

    good luck*

  6. try treading water

  7. Here is how I teach my swimming lessons kids to tread: (also the correct way)

Your legs should be doing the whip kick (soldier, chicken, bird) If it is easier you can do the bicycle kick or the eggbeater.

Your arms should be going in and out: I will try to explain:

Stretch your arms out to your sides with your palms facing to the frong.  Bring your palms inward together, then flip your palms to face outward.  Repeat.  Practice and strength is all you need to become a strong treader.
