I'm thinking bout starting to swim every day ...What are the benefits of swimming and does this mean I would need to do laps to have benefits ?

  1. Swimming is the best all around activity you can do.It works all of the major muscle groups and gives a great cardio workout.I used to swim 20 to 50 laps a day and I was always in great shape.


  2. Swimming tones your entire body and is a sport that you can do even when you get older. Laps would be the most beneficial, but you don't have to just straight up swim them. You can always kick with a board.

  3. its great cardio fitness-it helps u burn calories and stay in shape!! doing laps would help, but just swimming around in the water can help!!
