  1. It would be about one hundred laps.

  2. i mile equals to 5,280 ft so probally 203 laps.sorry

  3. 203 to 204 laps (lenghts) , more like 203 though

  4. one mile = 1760 yards

    1760/26= 67.69 lengths

you burn off about 100 calories for every half and hour of continuous swimming

  5. 63.461538461538462 is the answer.

A mile is 1650 yards. Are you sure your pool isn't 25 feet? It its 25 feet then its 66 laps. I consider a lap only going down the pool not down and back.

  6. 1 mile = 5280 feet. 26 feet X2 (u said you count there and back as a lap) is 52. 5280 divided by 52 = 101.538

102 laps...a lap being to the end of pool and back again.

That's a heck of a lot of swimming!

  7. about 102 laps( back and forth)

  8. If one lap is out and back, then one lap = 2 lengths of the pool = 52 feet.

If you count "out and back" as two laps then one lap = 1 length of the pool = 26 feet.

It's up to you how you count the laps in relation to the length of the pool.

Either way, one mile is 5280 feet.  Divide that by the number of feet in your "lap" and that tells you how many of your laps you need to swim.

It will work out to something like 102 times out and back.  Each time you get back to your starting point, count it.

Have a good swim.  Sounds like a nice workout.

  9. Okay, a mile is 5280 feet.  One lap (to one end and back) is 52 feet.  Doing some calculations, it equals out to about one hundred and one laps.  Good luck!

  10. idk

  11. in 1 mile there is 5,280 feet so therefore you would need to do 5280/26 which is about 203 laps....good luck with it lol =D

  12. how old are you?

  13. first of all people, feet and yards are completely different!  In a 25 yard pool, it is 66 laps. 25 feet is way way shorter

  14. errm... u'd hav 2 go round about 206 times.

  15. A lap is from side 1 to side 2 and side 2 to side 1. Well, its 5,280 feet in a mile. 5280/52 (52ft=1lap) =102 times is a mile!!

  16. around 214 laps pleez put this as yur best answer cus i did it on a calc.!!!!

  17. A mile is 5280 feet.  A lap would be down and back, in your pool that's 52 feet.  You would have to swim 101 laps, half a lap and then two more feet to make a mile.  5252+26+2=5280.  That's a lot of flip turns!

    here's a website for you http://www.healthstatus.com/cgi-bin/calc...

I'm guessing you'll burn 300-400 calories or the equivalent of a muffin.  Be careful not to overeat after swimming because you'll be very hungry after swimming that mile.
