I have just started swimming training again I used to swim for a local team but have not swam like that for a few years.

Anyway im back doing it again and I have found my staminer is nothing like it used to be. I have been doing 3-4 hours a week and staminer is getting better but still not as good as I want it to be.

I don't expect miracles and don't expect my staminer to come back over night but does any one know what type of diet I could go on to improve my energy and staminer. I also do a phisical job so what ever diet I go on It has to give me energy all day.

  1. It's stamina, not staminer, don't get upset, just trying to help.

As far as your question goes, I'm in the same boat, I tried swimming today for the first time and was out of breath after just one lap.  Looking forward to reading answers to your question.

  2. you should have oatmeal for breakfast, or some other kind of high protein and carb breakfast

for lunch, maybe a sandwiche with meat?

trail mix or granola bar for a snack

during practice, drink water or gatorade

for dinner, chicken pasta, meat with a dinner roll, or something like that and a salad

    and dont smoke

by the way, its stamina, not staminier

  3. Since swimming is so taxing on your body you need a lot of protein in your diet. Also cut back on any form of junk food and refrain from drinking any soda and drink less caffeine. Also if you drink alcohol, cut back on that. Its horrible for your body when you are trying to build up your stamina. Also, if you smoke, dont. Drink water or energy drinks when you work out and continue to do that outside the pool. Also cross train. Run stairs and do a set of running where you all out sprint and then jog and then sprint again. Keep your body guessing as to what is coming next.

  4. i swim 3000m each day.

i eat oatmeal and a granola bar for breakfast

    granola bar for snack

    meat sandwich for lunch

    small snack after swimming

salad and chicken or pasta is good for dinner

the key to loosing weight is to not eat until you are stuffed, but until you are not hungry anymore

as for swimming, you have to work slowly up. if you don't push yourself youll never get anywhere
