Swimming with clothes on?

We had to do this in PE and were assessed on it.

What would you think if you saw loads of people at your local pool in heavy clothes swimming around?

  1. It is very important. Most deaths on the water occur when someone falls overboard. You should practice with a life jacket too to see how it holds you up.

  2. I understand why they have you do this. Its a technique used by a few coaches I know, they say it creates drag, which in the end makes  you faster. Because the clothes provide more weight and hold you back so that when you get in the water the next tiem in just a suit you go faster bc theres no drag and your stronger.

  3. I would think that they are a bunch of morons.

  4. I'd say its laundry day! Next year have someone bring the soap to PE.  They'll have to take turns in the dryer.
